The Health Benefits of Raw Cannabis

The strongest foundation for the establishment of cannabinoids is found in raw cannabis ~

It is the true treasure trove of phytochemicals and a rich source of essential minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, including, Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Potassium, Selenium, Carotenoids, and of course fiber.

Cannabis is a vegetable, defined as a "herbaceous plant" grown for edible nutrition and usually eaten as part of a meal. When you juice or eat cannabis raw - you are consuming therapeutic and nutraceutical cannabinoid acids, THCA and CBDA - they are packed with phytonutrients, plant-dervied compounds associated with positive health effects. THCA (Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid) and CBDA (Cannabidiolic Acid) are the chemical precursor to THC and CBD, both are non-psychoactive and have numerous wellness benefits to support human health. Several of these raw compounds such as, chlorophyll, terpenes and flavornoids can be found in other fruits and vegetables, however phytocannabinoid-derived acids are unique to the cannabis plant and are not found in any other herbaceous vegetation. Cannabis is also known to be a stronger antioxidant than vitamins C or E and the leaves also contain polyphenols, an antioxidant phytochemical that tends to prevent or neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals.

THCA has the most non-psychoactive cannabinoids found in raw cannabis and the abundant health benefits helps to reduce inflammation, arthritis and seizures. THCA is also an effective neuroprotectant and a beneficial treatment for Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Different strains of the cannabis plant such as, sativa, indica, hybrid or ruderalis can contain different amounts of phytocannabinoid acids and phytonutrients. Every part of the cannabis plant contains beneficial phytochemicals, the flowering tops and the leaves near the bud have greatly more quantities of phytocannabinoid acids than the stems and stalks. This makes determining dosage unreliable but one suggestion is to consume 30g of fresh cannabis leaves per day. Raw cannabinoids are fat-soluble so for maximum health benefits it is best to add yogurt or coconut milk to your juice or eat raw cannabis with healthy fats like avocados, whole eggs or fatty fish. One more important fact is to only juice or eat cannabis that has been purchased from a reputable grower as the plants will have been "flushed" with clean water to remove all growing additives and fertilizers. Consume only clean raw cannabis.

Hemp seeds, aka Hemp Hearts, are very nutritious, high in fiber and an excellent source of the essential amino acids (proteins) with ideally balanced omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linolenic acid). Typically, the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 is 2:1 or 3:1 in (unhulled) hemp seeds, which is considered perfectly balanced for the exact ratio for human health. Hemp seeds contain B vitamins, Vitamin E, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc and several more important minerals.
